Job Description

Position Purpose: To perform procedures of somatic cell nuclear transfer for production of cloned embryos, as well as cell culture, oocyte maturation and data entry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Micromanipulation (oocyte enucleation, cell injection, oocyte-cell fusion).
  • Cell culture.
  • Oocyte collection and maturation.
  • Embryo culture.
  • Media preparation.
  • Data Entry.
  • Supply ordering.
  • Maintains a professional image reflective of Trans Ova's industry position.
  • Follows Trans Ova's policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Education Requirements:

B.S. in Biology or related area preferred.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Ability to work on microscopes for prolonged period.

Ability to work under a laminar flow hood.

Other skills/experience:

Prior hands on experience in embryology (embryo culture, oocyte maturation) and micromanipulation preferred but not required.

Good hand to eye coordination.

Strong attention to details.

Good intention to follow protocols.
