Cloning Lab Technician

Position Purpose: To perform procedures of somatic cell nuclear transfer for production of cloned embryos, as well as cell culture, oocyte maturation and data entry.

Key Responsibilities:

* Micromanipulation (oocyte enucleation, cell injection, oocyte-cell fusion).
* Cell culture.
* Oocyte collection and maturation.
* Embryo culture.
* Media preparation.
* Data Entry.
* Supply ordering.
* Maintains a professional image reflective of Trans Ova's industry position.
* Follows Trans Ova's policies and procedures.
* Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education Requirements:

B.S. in Biology or related area preferred.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Ability to work on microscopes for prolonged period.

Ability to work under a laminar flow hood.

Other skills/experience:

Prior hands on experience in embryology (embryo culture, oocyte maturation) and micromanipulation preferred but not required.

Good hand to eye coordination.

Strong attention to details.

Good intention to follow protocols.
