Summary:

Powin seeks a Senior IT Applications Administrator to lead the configuration and maintenance of SaaS applications, serving as the main technical contact for changes and integrations, collaborating with vendors for troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with security policies. Responsibilities include managing identity and access management for IT-managed applications, optimizing application performance, providing senior-level support to the IT helpdesk, maintaining documentation, and conducting user acceptance testing. The ideal candidate will possess 4+ years of experience in System Administration or IT support, hands-on experience with operating systems, familiarity with cloud platforms, scripting proficiency, and strong communication and project management skills.

Job Details:

  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of SaaS applications, emphasizing functional design, complex configurations, adherence to change control processes, and ticket management. Act as the primary technical contact for changes or integrations required for these applications.
  • Manage, configure, and maintain identity and access management (IAM) for our IT-managed applications, ensuring secure access and compliance with security policies.
  • Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot technical issues or outages, ensuring prompt resolution and serving as the escalation point for complex technical issues.
  • Work closely with IT administrators and integration teams to ensure seamless integration and optimize the performance of business applications, overseeing data and application integrations.
  • Provide senior-level support to the IT helpdesk and other IT team members, serving as an escalation point for complex technical issues related to SaaS applications. Offer training and assistance to end-users.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all application configurations, procedures, and support processes, establishing a knowledge base for applications and associated processes.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing for SaaS applications, ensuring functional design aligns with business requirements.
  • Oversee data integrations and application integrations, ensuring smooth interoperability between systems.
  • Report on security policy non-compliance, addressing user access and roles, data compromise, and other related issues for the specified applications. Perform other duties as assigned, leveraging expertise in system administration and technical support to drive continuous organizational improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent experience considered.
  • 4+ years of experience in System Administration, IT application support, functional configuration, or similar roles.
  • Experience with a range of operating systems, including Procore, Zuper, Arena, and SolidWorks PDM or comparable applications, is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform preferred.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation tasks a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in automated deployment and system upgrades/updates.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) principles.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools for leading IT projects.
  • Understanding of disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and business continuity processes.
  • Experience with knowledge base creation and documentation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Understanding the application delivery life cycle is a must.
  • Aptitude for mentoring, training, and providing guidance to more junior team members.
  • Ability to work with vendors, business users, and technical teams to achieve timely results.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
