Retail Salesperson

Overview

As a Sales Associate for BRN BABY you would be involved in many aspects of the business that are related to the weekend operations of the retail + online store. You would be a key contributor to the companys goals of growing sales and delivering exceptional customer service. As a direct representation of the BRN BABY brand to customers, this position requires an individual with a kind and welcoming personality that excels at interacting with people. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including the ones listed below. At BRN BABY, you would work closely with the other members of the BRN BABY team, including the owners, and would play an integral part in the company's overall success.

Responsibilities

Sales + Marketing:
? Support sales by providing exceptional customer service
? Assist in customer retention by capturing emails, encouraging social following, and educating customers about our registry program and webshop and other locations
? Participate in initial + ongoing training to become an expert on our brands/products including materials, sizing + fit, brand story, why we carry them, etc.
? Assist customers with gear education + purchases, including walking them through the product features, competitive advantages, educating them on how to add products to their registry both in-store and online
? Follow the appropriate steps for opening and closing the store
? Attend company meetings and be a contributing member by speaking about what is working/not working at the store, customer feedback, creative ideas, products that are/are not selling, etc.

Merchandising:
? Maintain a clean and organized store by restocking inventory, organizing merchandise, and tidying up throughout the day
? Proactively and consistently familiarize yourself with

any merchandising + backstock changes from the week before
Order Fulfillment
? Checkout customers in-store, over the phone and fulfill online orders. This includes gift wrapping, packaging and following up with customers as needed
Inventory Management
? Help with inbound inventory processing (counting, tagging, and storing) and quarterly inventory counts
? Notify owners with important inventory information such as when stock is low, issues with product quality, etc.
Administrative Tasks
? Light cleaning of store such as restocking products, cash wrap and bathroom and organizing warehouse

Store Hours: M - Sa 10a - 5p, Sn 12p - 4p
Must be available to work both Saturday + Sunday every week
Start date ASAP

Must-Have Skills

Great communicator and positive attitude
Prompt, reliable and trustworthy
Extremely detail oriented
Experience with using computers
Prior retail and/or customer service experience a plus
Knowledge of babies and baby products a plus
