Join our quality care team and make a differenceThe Dietary Manager is responsible for the Dietary Department of the assisted living community and promoting a positive image to residents, families, and guests. Responsible for Front and Back of the house. Supervises the staff in the daily operation of the department, monitoring job assignments and the quality of food preparationsParticipates in the recruitment and selection of staff and provides an orientation to new staff members and ongoing coaching to current staffPrepares and submits food and supply orders, audits supply stock, and ensures that the department has sufficient food supply and working equipment at all timesPrepares meals as neededCommunicates company policies and health department standards to all staff holding staff accountable for preparing, serving, and storing food in accordance with all standards and policiesEvaluates staff performance and provides feedback, coaching, and discipline as needed to staff membersInspects the food service areas and equipment ensuring they are clean, safe, and orderly meeting community fire safety, infection control, and hazardous chemicals regulations and policiesTaking prompt action to address any unsafe conditions or equipment problemsPosition Requirements:Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishCertified Dietary Manager Certification highly recommendedFood Handler's card where requiredEducation or experience sufficient to meet position requirements or as required by State regulationsMeets all mandatory health requirements by State regulationsPrefer prior experience in a commercial kitchen environmentRequires attention to detail and the ability to follow instructionsPrior supervisory experience preferredResident care philosophy with a focus on providing the highest level of quality service and professional interactionMaintains a clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitorsAbility to positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employeesHas compassion and special interest in working with the senior populationAbility to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employeesHas compassion and special interest in working with the senior populationAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and over time, to meet the reqMaintains CPR and/or First Aid Certification as required by State regulationsRegency Pacific is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
