**Summary:**

The Material Handler position ensures that the correct materials are pulled and issued to the correct job orders and delivered to the correct machine or work area. The candidate is also responsible for moving partially finished or finished products physically and making inventory move transactions in the Syteline ERP system under given direction and guidelines. Candidate will be responsible for issuing material to the jobs, conducting cycle counting, ensuring inventory location accuracy, putting up material in the correct inventory locations, overall inventory accuracy and other assigned transactional duties. The candidate will also be responsible for the saw operations for the Valves Value Stream. In addition, candidate will be performing the following duties.

**Responsibilities:**

* Unloading, moving and storing materials.

* Maintaining inventory and inventory locations.

* Utilizing manual lifts, reach trucks and transfer equipment (requires applicable safety and operational training).

* Identifying and verifying parts.

* Reporting inventory issues, cycle count findings and root cause.

* Operating the saws in the area to cut various orders and materials for the Valves Value Stream.

* Preparing materials for outside process and working with the Planner to ensure we have the correct count and proper material

* Confirm items to be shipped for outside processes for accuracy against the job orders and Purchase Orders, tag with part number and description, and print required paperwork.

* Participate in company Lean 5S initiatives.

* Keep work area neat and clean at all times.

* Participate in annual physical inventory.

* Must be willing to accept and perform work assignments not directly related to the material handler position.

* Required to operate a forklift. Candidate should have proper OSHA training and valid state licenses.

* Candidates must be in good physical condition and be able to remain on their feet for an extended period of time.

* An ability to use machines and software to track inventory along with good organizational and time management skills are critical.

* Material handlers must be able to process and follow written and spoken instructions.

* High School Diploma.

* Basic computer skills.

* Be highly motivated and a Team player.

* Must be able to read, write and speak English.

* Possess good organizational and communication skills.

* General knowledge of shipping/receiving is helpful but not required.

**Mental / Visual / Physical Effort:**

* Must be able to lift 50 pounds routinely.

* Have strength and stamina to be on your feet and lift packages throughout the day.
