Quanex is looking for an Information Technology (IT) Internto join our team located in Akron, OH.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Applications Intern to join our team. The IT Applications Intern will work closely with our IT team to support various applications used within the organization. This internship provides exposure to different aspects of IT applications management and offers valuable learning opportunities in a dynamic work environment.

This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in IT applications support and administration. The successful candidate will work closely with various other member of the business and have the chance to contribute to various projects and initiatives within the organization. What Success Looks Like:

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications.
• Provide support for end-users experiencing technical issues with applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application-related problems promptly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with IT staff to perform software upgrades and patches.
• Participate in testing new applications and updates before deployment.
• Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for applications.
• Assist in user training sessions to promote effective use of applications.
• Assist with .NET programming, SQL database development, SSRS report development, data integration work.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives for IT applications and processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Enthusiasm for learning and willingness to take on new challenges.

Your Credentials:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Strong interest in IT applications and software development.
• Basic understanding of software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., C#, JavaScript) is advantageous.

The salary range for this position is $18 to $20 per hour.
