Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse to join our mental health care team. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care and support to patients with psychiatric disorders. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment focused on mental wellness.

Duties:

- Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Monitor patient behavior and mental status for changes or concerns

Experience:

- Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health disorders
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system is a plus
- Ability to suture wounds and perform venipuncture for medication administration
- Experience working with children or in pediatric psychiatric care is desirable
- Previous experience in ICU, dialysis, internal medicine, or basic life support is beneficial
