Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and developing new and existing networks that align with enterprise security standards. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the robustness and scalability of our network infrastructure.

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the network in a collaborative environment. Your responsibilities will extend to mentoring and guiding other team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development.

Responsibilities

Network Design and Implementation:

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable network solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network architecture meets business requirements.
Technology Integration:
  • Proactively explore and evaluate cutting-edge technologies, including SD-WAN, ACI, and DNA Center, to enhance the organization's network infrastructure.
  • Lead the integration of these innovative solutions, staying abreast of industry trends to continually improve the network environment.
  • Implement and manage Palo Alto Firewalls, ensuring that our network security stays at the forefront of technological advancements.
VPN Technologies:
  • Demonstrate expertise in SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) VPN solutions to provide a seamless and secure remote access experience for employees.
  • Design and configure VPN solutions that prioritize both user experience and robust security measures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SASE VPN connectivity, ensuring uninterrupted and reliable remote access for our team.
Wireless Networking:
  • Manage and optimize our wireless networks to industry standards, providing seamless connectivity and optimal performance for both employees and guests.
  • Design and implement wireless solutions that meet the specific requirements of our organization, ensuring reliability and security.
  • Implement and support wireless security protocols to safeguard network integrity.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in wireless networking, integrating relevant advancements to enhance our network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand wireless connectivity needs, and proactively address any issues related to coverage, speed, or security.
  • Ensure that our wireless networks meet the expectations of both internal employees and external guests, delivering a high-quality user experience.
Network Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Implement monitoring tools to ensure network performance and proactively address issues.
  • Identify opportunities for network optimization and efficiency improvements.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Create comprehensive and detailed diagrams and documentation for existing network configurations, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Develop a strategic plan to enhance documentation processes, outlining clear guidelines and procedures for documenting network changes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and ensure that all network components are accurately documented.
  • Establish and maintain a centralized repository for network documentation, promoting accessibility and knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Continuously review and improve documentation processes to align with industry best practices and organizational standards.
  • Prioritize and complete documentation tasks in a timely manner, ensuring that all network changes and configurations are thoroughly documented.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer with deep knowledge over Cisco and Palo Alto products. Experience with SD-WAN, ACI, Palo Alto Firewalls is a plus.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking solutions such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
