OPG General Position Overviews (To Be Further Individualized Upon Hire)

Outreach Coordinator Description

Overview: The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for building relationships with potential referral sources in the community, educating professionals and consumers about O'Connor Professional Group (OPG) offerings, and increasing the number of behavioral health cases at OPG. OPG is a private pay, concierge behavioral health provider, supporting families and individuals with a range of issues including substance abuse, mental health, eating disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop new relationships and educate clinical providers, non-profits, treatment centers, therapeutic schools, private schools, medical, financial and legal professionals on OPG offerings
  • Review current list of contacts and referral sources and manage relationships in the behavioral health field
  • Coordinate incoming leads with intake team at OPG
  • Research speaking opportunities at relevant conferences, non-profits and other associations
  • Represent OPG at conferences and other networking events
    1. Deliver presentations and webinars to audiences on OPG's behalf
  • Contribute to OPG blog and generate new, relevant content
  • Create a pipeline of leads with agreed upon metrics upon hiring
Consultant Description

Overview: A Consultant is responsible for providing industry expertise to OPG, whether it be clinical, business-oriented, or creatively driven. Their duties include researching OPG's role within the behavioral health industry, meeting with OPG team members to make suggestions and develop improvement plans based on their needs, and maintaining a professional relationship with OPG over time.

Job Responsibilities:

Consultants can perform a variety of tasks depending on the identified area of need. Additionally, a Consultant should be able to collaborate with OPG team members and do the following:
  • Provide industry-specific coaching and training to clientele
  • Brainstorm strategies for growth, positive change and improvement
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and brand development and review data.
  • Give presentations and organize team meetings
  • Dedicate time to generating new business and pitching clients
  • Meet with existing clients to perform an initial assessment, discuss goals and strategize methods for improvement
  • Solve problems through helpful recommendations and practical suggestions
  • Collect data on clients and the business through interviews, workplace shadowing and researching documents
Case Manager/Family Coaching/Recovery Coaching Description

Overview: The case manager/recovery coach assists in clients' care by developing, monitoring, and evaluating care plans and progress, coordinating an interdisciplinary team, and monitoring clients' improvement. Case managers will coordinate care for clients with a range of behavioral health issues including substance use disorders, mental health issues, eating disorders, issues affecting those on the autism spectrum, mood disorders, and personality disorders. The case manager will act as a liaison between the client/family and treatment personnel to ensure prompt and effective care. The case manager will also communicate progress and observations to both OPG team members and non-OPG treatment providers. Case managers will meet clients in the community or home setting to perform actions necessary to meet their mental health, social, and financial goals.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Participating in initial consults and writing corresponding consult reports.
  • Completing biopsychosocial assessments on clients.
  • Reviewing past treatment records and contacting clinical providers.
  • Coordinating and helping to complete a comprehensive consultation addressing the client's educational, vocational, recreational, and social needs.
  • Clinical: defining what clinical services will be accessed and how frequently. Facilitating efficient communication between treatment team, client, and family coach.
  • Educational: assistance in selecting a school program. Supporting a client's school plan, including class selection, connections, and school-based resources (i.e. tutoring and counseling).
  • Vocational plan: assessment of vocational interests, short-term support for finding and keeping a job and long-term planning towards career goals.
  • Recreational plan: discovery of clients' interests in cultural, sports-related, and artistic pursuits. Connections to appropriate resources.
  • Social: developing skills to pursue healthy behaviors and assistance in cultivating a positive support network.
  • Independent living skills: creation and monitoring of a budget, assistance with time management and other basic living skills as needed.
  • Creating short and long-term client goal plans; daily documenting of progress.
  • Meeting with client 1-5 times per week in the community or home settings to monitor client progress, with follow up calls as appropriate.
  • Providing connections to endorse community resources, treatment options, peer counselors and AA companions as appropriate.
  • Providing observed in-home drug testing and Soberlink monitoring if appropriate.
  • Emergency support, on-call availability, and client transportation as needed.
  • Family coaches will engage in many of the roles above but will provide support and consultation exclusively to the client's family system/system in order to best support the caregivers' needs and goals/objectives as they relate to their loved one and overall self-care.
  • Additional duties will be assigned as deemed appropriate.
Employer Services Coaching Description

Overview: The Employer Services coach provides remote support to the workforce of contracted Employers by scheduling collaborative meetings to discuss and process topics that include but are not limited to work/life balance, self-care, relationship dynamics, and pandemic stress.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct 1-1 wellness coaching sessions with employees.
  • Help employees assess their current physical and emotional needs while also supporting them to set goals for what they want to achieve in their overall wellness and health.
  • Create materials and participate in webinars throughout the company on a variety of wellness topics including work/life balance, effective communication, processing grief, anxiety, self-care, etc.
  • Support diversity networks throughout the company in a variety of ways (e.g., share wellness tips, facilitate book clubs, lead small group calls)
Therapeutic Live-In Coach (Companion):

Overview: The therapeutic companion assists clients' care by providing 24/7 support, developing, monitoring, and evaluating care plans and progress, coordinating an interdisciplinary team, and monitoring clients' improvement. Companions will provide care for clients with various behavioral health issues, including substance use disorders, mental health issues, eating disorders, issues affecting those on the autism spectrum, mood disorders, and personality disorders. The companion will liaise between the client/family and treatment personnel to ensure prompt and effective care. The case manager will also communicate progress and observations to OPG team members and non-OPG treatment providers. Therapeutic companions are most often 24/7, live-in support with our clients, but this can vary depending on the case and client's needs/preferences.
  • Job Responsibilities:
    Coaching and crisis management for individuals in mental health and/or substance use recovery
  • Providing exposure to positive activities in the community
  • Modeling healthy and therapeutic boundaries.
  • Modeling healthy coping and daily living skills.
  • Providing psychoeducation related to the client's diagnoses, substance use, and medication management.
  • Observation of the client's behaviors (i.e. dietary, sleep, leisure, etc.)
    Facilitating efficient, courteous, and respectful communication between treatment team, client, client's family, companion supervisor, and family coach.
  • Input detailed case notes in a timely manner.
