Crosscheck Inspection Services, a full-service Special Inspection and Material Testing company, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Tenant Protection Plan (TPP) Special Inspector to join our team. As a TPP Special Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections to verify compliance with the tenant protection plan as mandated by the NYC Department of Buildings.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform special inspections in accordance with the requirements outlined in Chapter 1 of Title 28 of the Administrative Code and Section 3303.10 of the NYC Building Code.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to ensure ongoing compliance with the tenant protection plan throughout the course of construction, alteration, or partial demolition operations.
  • Document and report conditions prior to work commencement, at the start of construction, and on a weekly basis during construction or demolition.
  • Verify corrective actions for any tenant protection plan violations issued.
  • Monitor changes in construction or demolition operations that may require adjustments to methods of protection.
  • Record all inspections performed and indicate compliance with the tenant protection plan.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in special inspections, preferably in the field of tenant protection plan compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of NYC Building Codes, particularly Sections 1705.26.1 and 1705.26.2.
  • Familiarity with the requirements of the NYC Department of Buildings pertaining to tenant protection plan special inspections.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively document and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and integrity.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses, such as NYC Special Inspector certifications, are highly desirable.
