Our brand new surgery suites at CHI Health St. Francis have it all, including:

+ Seven operating rooms with the most advanced technology in town.

+ State-of-the-art imaging allows for patients scans to be on large screens above the operating table, so the surgeon never has to leave the surgical field

+ Convenient, separate entrance on the west side of the hospital with parking right in front (entrance D)

+ Private pre-and post-recovery rooms with plenty of room for family

+ Two brand new endoscopy rooms and a sterile processing department

+ Expert surgical team with decades of experience

+ Comfortable environment and friendly staff

**Responsibilities**

**What youll do:**

+ Prepares the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring the equipment is functioning properly and safely

+ Prepares the operating room and the sterile field for surgical procedures by preparing sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment using sterile technique

+ Demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy and pathophysiology and how it relates to the patient and surgical procedure

+ Anticipates usual and unexpected events during the surgical procedure and responds in an efficient manner

+ Handles and processes surgical specimens according to established policy/procedure

+ Serves as a preceptor in training and orientation of fellow staff members and students

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program

Certification in Surgical Technology preferred

Basic Life Support (BLS) required

**Pay Range**

$21.80 - $31.62 /hour
