Dr. Brad Bengtson, MD FACS and Dr. David Alfonso, MD FACS are board-certified plastic surgeons in Michigan, specializing in all aspects of cosmetic surgery. We also offer non-surgical cosmetic solutions such as the Coolsculpting, Fillers, NeuroToxins, MiraDry, Sculptra, Latisse, and much more.


Located in our beautiful facility at 2155 East Paris Ave in Grand Rapids, Drs. Bengtson, Alfonso, and their team serve patients from all over the state of Michigan, the United States, Canada, and Europe requesting safe, quality surgical and non-surgical cosmetic solutions and unique specialty services.


With our growth comes the need for a Surgical Technologist to join our team in a Part-time position. This position requires an organized, self-motivated individual with a sense of urgency who is capable of working independently and with a team and physicians prioritizing work to meet deadlines. The ability to successfully work as part of a team is crucial to the success of this position.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for next days scheduled procedures by picking cases, using surgeon’s preference cards to assure that all necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment are available. Label cases and prepares a needs list accurately.
  • Demonstrate appropriate dress, sterile, and aseptic techniques at all times in the surgery suite.
  • Perform technologist and surgery assistant functions according to AORN/CST


Minimum Education and/or Experience:

This position requires a High School Diploma/GED; completion of an accredited training program required. CST certification is required. Experience working as a surgical technologist and understanding of the tasks and requirements of the position; knowledge of sterile processing is required
