Confidential Job Description - Director of Sales Planning and Pricing

Reporting to : Chief Financial Officer

Summary

This role leads the development and execution of sales planning and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall financial goals. The Director fosters a collaborative environment, working cross-functionally with various teams to analyze market trends, optimize pricing models, and drive profitable business growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective sales plans and forecasts, incorporating pricing strategies and market insights.
Oversee the costing function, streamlining processes and ensuring accuracy and transparency.
Manage the new business team, optimizing the process for accurate and timely pricing.
Lead sales analytics activities, including margin analysis, promotional spending evaluation, and budget development.
Partner with sales and other departments on new product launches and innovation initiatives, ensuring appropriate pricing strategies.
Act as a liaison between sales and operations on inventory matters.
Mentor and lead a team of sales planning and pricing analysts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, MBA preferred.
3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong analytical and technical skills, with proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and excel.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
CPG and/or food & beverage manufacturing experience a plus.
