Overview:Mental Health Practitioners and Workers work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) to individuals impacted by mental health symptoms. Mental health practitioners work one on one with clients teaching skills to develop and enhance psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living and community skills, when these abilities are impaired by the symptoms of mental illness.This position is tiered into 2 levels based on qualifications:Mental Health PractitionerType: Part-time & Full-time, no less than 0.6 FTELocation: NE Minneapolis, MNPay: $22, HourlyResponsibilitiesMental Health Practitioners work as part of an integrated treatment team, adhering to standards to serve adults and/or children diagnosed with mental illness by doing the following:Assessing functional strengths, resources needsDeveloping individualized, person-centered treatment/community support plansImplementing the interventions identified in the planReferring persons served to other needed services, resources & supports coordinating and monitoring the quality these servicesMaintaining detailed records of allRequired Qualifications:Has the ability to pass MVR check, maintain a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.Education + Experience QualificationsEducation: Has completed at least 30 or 45 quarter hours in behavioral science or related fields.Experience: At least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to adults or children with mental illness, substance use disorder, or emotional disturbance; or traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities and completes training on mental illness recovery from mental illness, mental health de-escalation techniques, co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse, and psychotropic medications and side effects.Education Only QualificationsHolds a master's degree or higher in the behavioral sciences or related fields;ORholds a bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences or related fields and completes a practicum or internship that (1) requires direct interaction with adults or children served, and (2) is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields.Experience-Only QualificationsHas at least 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to adults or children with mental illness, substance use disorder, or emotional disturbance; or traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities and completes training on mental illness, recovery from mental illness, mental health de-escalation techniques, co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse, and psychotropic medications and side effects.ANDHas at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to adults or children as described above, and receives clinical supervision as required by applicable statutes and rules at least once a week from a mental health professional until the requirement of 4,000 hours of supervised experience is met.Graduate Internship Placement:Is a graduate student in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields and is formally assigned by an accredited college or university to an agency or facility for clinical training.Mental Health Rehabilitation WorkerType: Part-time & Full-time, no less than 0.6 FTELocation: NE Minneapolis, MNPay: $20, HourlyResponsibilities:Mental Health Rehabilitation Workers work as part of an integrated treatment team, adhering to standards to serve adults diagnosed with mental illness by doing the following:Implementing the interventions identified in the planReferring persons served to other needed services, resources & supports coordinating and monitoring the quality these servicesMaintaining detailed records of allRequired Qualifications:Has the ability to pass MVR check, maintain a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.Is at least 21 years of age;Has a high school diploma or equivalent;ANDHave an associate of arts degreeORHave two years of full-time postsecondary education or a total of 15 semester hours or 23 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related fields.ORHave, within the previous 10 years, three years of personal life experience with mental illnessORHave, within the previous 10 years, three years of life experience as a primary caregiver to an adult with a mental illness, traumatic brain injury, substance use disorder, or developmental disabilityORHave, within the previous 10 years, 2,000 hours of work experience providing health and human services to individualsBenefitsHealth InsuranceCompetency and performance-based pay scalesDental InsuranceLife InsuranceVision InsuranceShort & Long Term Disability Insurance401(K)PTOFlexible Scheduling OptionsTraining & Career DevelopmentMileage, and other expense reimbursementsEmployee Assistance ProgramExplore all open positions on our careers page.Accend Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
