An independent, locally governed non-profit healthcare provider in Southwest Florida is seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join their team of health care professionals. They are offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for a full-time Registered Nurse in their Immediate Care Vanderbilt department.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility or physician's office
  • Current Florida Registered Nurse license
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Intermediate computer knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

As a Registered Nurse, your duties involve:

  • Triage, verify allergies, symptoms, and pharmacy-related issues
  • Develop a patient care plan and implement nursing care accordingly
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Organize patient care and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Accurately document patient information and results in clinic standards
  • Assist physicians during treatment, examination, and testing of patients
  • Review lab and diagnostic test results with patients and families
  • Perform blood draws, urine dips, rapid streps, influenza, mono, CMP, CBC, cardiac inhalation treatments, start IVs, bladder catheters, injections, EKGs, dressing changes, and splinting as needed
  • Handle specimens and perform lab testing with quality control and instrumentation proficiency
  • Assist in ordering of reagents, lab supplies, and medical supplies
  • Clean surgical instruments and package up for sterilization, and
  • Audit charts daily for missing charges and diagnosis
