**Background Painter - Metalocalypse**

New York, NY / Background Background Paint / Full-time is coming back and looking better than ever Titmouse NY is hiring experienced background painters to work on the next installation of this cult favorite for Adult Swim. Painters must be able to produce high-quality cinematic scenes with realistic perspective - think . Artists based in the state of NY are strongly preferred.

**Estimated Project Length**: mid March/April 2022 - June/May 2022 **REQUIREMENTS**

+ Must have strong working experience of Photoshop

+ Previous experience as a background painter for episodic animation

+ Strong portfolio samples & complex background paintings for animation **(City ruins and large-scale destruction is a plus)**

+ Ability to paint lined and un-lined backgrounds

+ Ability to paint high-quality cinematic scenes with rendered lighting

+ Strong understanding of realistic perspective and lighting

+ Strong ability to render different materials

+ Strong ability to paint with textured brushes

+ New York-based

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Paint and render backgrounds to match the existing style of the show

+ Revise work based off feedback from the background paint supervisor, art director, supervising director and/or client

+ Meet production deadlines and communicate quickly with production if falling behind
