Job Duties/Roles
  • Design, develop, test .NET desktop applications for engineering calculations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and create modularize software code.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good coding practices and habits.
  • To ensure that the development and unit testing is in accordance with established standards.
  • Participate in reviews of solution designs and related code.
  • Analyze and resolve technical and application problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Package and support deployment of releases.
Highly Desired Skills
  • Basic understanding on Engineering concept and calculations
  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
  • Scrum Certified
  • Familiar with ship structures, CAD or finite element approach are a strong plus
Experiences
  • 5+ years
Required/Preferred Education
College degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience preferred
Pre-screening Questions
1. Have you worked on any Desktop application built in WPF? If yes, when? If no, then reject.

2. Have you used MVVM pattern in your design anytime? If yes, which project? If no, are you well-versed with MVVM pattern?

3. In your profile, you mentioned that you worked in WPF while 90% of other stuff is related to web development. Was there any WPF desktop application in place? If yes, what was that for?

4. Did you work on any project that was targeted only WPF desktop application? Which project?

5. As you said you worked on WPF, can you brief about what you have done exactly on WPF (XAML/C#)?

6. Did you work on any 3rd party control libraries in WPF? Which components did you use, and from which libraries?

7. How interested are you in doing desktop development while cloud computing is the most pertinent industry demand?
