As a Business Applications Developer you will help large-scale organizations adopt the power platform at an enterprise level, focusing on the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate. AIS delivers multi-cloud transformation solutions that help commercial and federal enterprises improve business results by migrating to the cloud, modernizing apps, and leveraging data.

What You'll Be Doing

  • In this role, you will participate as part of the data governance team supporting our role-based entitlement model (RBEM).
  • Responsibilities include coding, testing, analysis, and implementation of updates to our RBEM application. Collaborate with stakeholders, technical colleagues, and subject matter experts to understand their authorization needs and advise them how to achieve their goals.
  • Provide analysis and troubleshooting on issues or questions related to implementation of the RBEM system.
  • Support analysis by using analytical technologies such as SQL, PowerBI, or Tableau to provide a consolidated look of authorization.
  • Must have the ability to work independently as a member of the team and participate fully in all team practices and standards.
  • Collaborates with IT colleagues and other stakeholders to evaluate defined business requirements and processes. Uses available approved technologies and recommends solution options and can design and build application solutions and integrations, which may involve diverse development platforms (including 3rd party systems), software, hardware, technologies, and tools.
Location and Travel Details

This is a remote position with occasional travel (if needed).

Profile of Success
  • 5+ years experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with current technologies used in the development of business applications and the techniques used to analyze and solve business problems.
  • Experience deciding upon techniques and tools to be used in current computing architectures.
    Familiar in the development and implementation of business applications in current computing architectures.
  • Proficiency in relevant technologies for packaged systems and tools including database skills, query language, reporting, scripting languages, integration patterns, test automation patterns and DevOps patterns.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confirmed ability in translation of requirements into backlog tasks and models into highly effective, technical processes and/or business system designs.
  • Good interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to translate technical concepts as appropriate to the level of the audience.
  • Ability to work self-directed and as part of a team on solutions of varying size; works well and leads on cross-functional solution teams and shows dedication to tasks, solution, and to team.
  • Leads the effort to translate written requirements and/or requirements into technical solutions.
  • Makes decisions with respect to appropriate information technology tools and techniques to be used to solve a problem.
  • Knows when to involve peers within the organization and/or collaborates with the team to expedite achievement of results.
Desirable Skills
  • Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Development experience with Power BI.
  • Significant programming experience in both traditional and front-end languages.
