Special Counsel Attorney - Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith Sheppard Mullin is seeking a Special Counsel attorney with 10+ years’ experience in insurance coverage and bad faith matters to join its Insurance Team. We represent many of the nation’s largest insurers, including Liberty Mutual, Allstate, Travelers, GEICO, Safeco, Auto Club, Allianz, Intact Insurance and Lloyd’s. The group serves as national counsel on institutional issues and other matters involving significant financial risk. We are also appellate specialists who have contributed to the development of the law in the areas of insurance coverage and bad faith.

Our ideal candidate should have experience in both personal lines and commercial lines coverage matters, mainly involving property/casualty and general liability insurance. The job entails providing coverage opinions and ongoing advice to clients, litigating coverage disputes in state and federal court, and assisting with the defense of bad faith cases that involve coverage issues. This position can be based in Orange County or Los Angeles. Candidates must be admitted in California.

The salary range for this position is $300,000 to $350,000 per year.
