Sonographer I-PRN

PRN sonography position that would float between Parma Medical Center, St. John Medical Center, and Elyria Medical Center as needed. This position would support each facility and contribute to patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and help reduce and minimize backlogs on outpatient exams. Essential Functions Provide quality sonographic images in a timely manner. Assures a safe and clean environment. Maintains knowledge of technical skills. Successfully completes ultrasound scans. Answers the phone and completes documentation appropriately. Collaborates effectively with staff/co-workers. Demonstrates age-specific knowledge. Adheres to hospital safety standards Perform , follow protocol, and maintain competency for High Level Disinfection procedures Take responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment Provide age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics Required For All Jobs Performs other duties as assigned. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Qualifications:QualificationsEducation RDMS and/or RVT certified Required Work Experience One year experience in scanning Abdominal, Vascular, Gynecology and OB/GYN Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures Required Basic computer knowledge. Required Knowledge of various types of ultrasound equipment. Required Basic knowledge of oxygen tanks, suction machines and IVAC pumps.
