Field Application Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

● Act as customer-facing technical support to the Company's customers.

● Work with customer engineering & R&D teams in the development of newproducts.

● Act as a technical resource to customer inquiries and issues.

● Align with customers to resolve technical challenges and issues onnext-generation interconnect solutions.

● Establish healthy relationships with engineers; product managers and R&D teams.

● Make recommendations to the Company sales and TM for continuous improvement of interconnect solutions.

● Assist internal sales and technical marketing teams to identify technology trends and product advancements.

● Collaborate closely with the Company technical marketing; sales; management and factories.

● Handle technical, administrative, logistical, and other tasks as needed to support the Companyteam.

Product Development:

● Submit new product development proposals to management, R&D, and technical marketing teams.

● Collaborate with the Company engineers, sales, and marketing teams through product life cycle and new product development.

● Evaluate market trends and make recommendations for new product development.

● Act as technical liaison “voice” of the customer to the Company teams for product development activities.

● Effectively collaborate with the Company sales, engineering, and marketing teams on new product development.

● Interpret and communicate technical specifications to the Company engineering teams.

Technical Support:

● Provided technical support to customers through research and development of applicable solutions.

● Assist customers as a technical resource in the adoption of new technologies.

● Support client engineering teams through design assistance and general technical support.

● Provide diagnostic and collaborative support to resolve technical issues for the Company clients.

● Create and present detailed presentations to the Company customers.

● Provided technical support for customer engagements regarding factory capabilities and capacities.

● Provide pre/post technical support information to customers on specific component applications and models.

● Provided ongoing technical support, track open issues, respond to customer inquiries, and analyze market trends.

● Provided technical support and problem resolution for the sales and marketing departments.

● Define, organize, and prepare technical proposals and/or solutions to the Company's customers.

● Trouble-shoot technical issues with customers for existing and new products.

● Work closely with customer R&D, ME, EE, and PM teams Intracompany

● Provided technical support and problem resolution for the sales and marketing departments.

● Provided technical support to sales during customer meetings.

● Work closely with internal TM, PM, management and sales teams.

● Provide necessary reports and proposals to internal teams

● Provide customer and product feedback to management, sales, & technical marketing.

● Accompany sales-staff to customer meetings for product promotion/development.

● Communicate to the Company's sales and TM for continuous improvement of interconnect solutions.

Qualifications:

● BS/MS degree in engineering/science or equivalent required; electrical engineering is preferred

● 4-5 years of product development and field application experience.

● Technical sales support experience in interconnect design and system integration

● Bilingual in Mandarin is a plus, but not required.
