Hourly rate: $25.50 - $28.85

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Monitor incoming requests for IT support; provide technical support and guidance to users in a hybrid work environment
  • Set up and maintain computers, peripherals and communications equipment; assist in the installation and maintenance of network hardware and software
  • Apply safeguards to protect the security of systems and applications
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems; coordinate the repair of printers
  • Determine hardware and software needs and make recommendations; purchase and maintain records for approved IT hardware, software, support and service
  • Participate in the development, maintenance and execution of IT policies, procedures, documentation, training materials and budgets; ensure systems and licensing are compliant with security policies, procedures and standards
  • Train employees, interns, independent contractors and volunteers in the acceptable and secure use of the organization's computer and telecommunications resources
  • Maintain inventory of computer hardware and software
  • Administer user accounts and control access to system stored data and information
  • Monitor server backups and coordinate off-site tape storage
  • Support a variety of business applications
  • Coordinate activities with vendors and others
  • Participate in special projects to monitor, maintain and improve network systems and processes
  • Develop and maintain technical skills so they are current with existing and emerging technologies and practices
  • Follow guidance and direction from the Network and Systems Administrator Lead
  • Backup and support other IT staff members as needed
  • Collaborate with other team members to foster a positive and productive culture and contribute toward the overall growth of the Cascade PBS

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and basic network problems
  • Ability to deliver quality customer service while remaining security minded
  • Ability to handle and prioritize simultaneous requests for assistance
  • Strong attention to detail
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Technical Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Three years' experience working in a fast-paced IT business environment providing desktop and network support required
  • Demonstrated experience with the following required:
  • Configuring and deploying PC and Mac endpoints in a hybrid work environment
  • Applying safeguards to computers, peripherals and network equipment to protect the security of systems and data
  • Supporting and administering Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments with Windows and Mac endpoints
  • Utilizing endpoint management systems for deploying and administering endpoints
  • Supporting and administering Microsoft Exchange
  • Supporting Microsoft business applications and a variety of database driven business applications
  • Supporting mobile devices and VOIP systems
  • Supporting printer infrastructure
  • Administering data backup programs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability and carry 30 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to climb, twist, bend, kneel, crawl and reach above head as required
  • Ability to sit and type on a keyboard for long periods of time
  • Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand tools to support IT
  • Ability to work in noisy, cold environment periodically
  • Ability to work some evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call shifts
  • Ability to travel to remote sites periodically
