Job Specifications/QualificationsTwo (2) years prior experience as a Ultrasound Technologist preferredCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsBLS requiredRegistered or Registry eligible by ARDMSRegistered by the ARRT and Licensed by the Arkansas Dept. of HealthIf holds an ARRT license.EducationHigh School or GEDRadiologic Technology Course in an AMA approved school preferred orCompletion of a formal ultrasound programcourse.Quality ImagingEnsures correct patient, diagnosis's and exam with the use of two identifiersPerforms diagnostic scans as directed by RadiologistUses correct scan protocols in an effort to optimize image quality while decreasing scan length and repeat proceduresDemonstrates properly positioning of patients and scan equipmentPerforms quality assurance tests according to manufacturer, reporting any malfunctioning equipment.Responsible for maintaining all scan records, QA records and chargesTrained and able to respond appropriately in emergency situations.Proficient in sending images to be viewed by LIP.Additional duties as assigned.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
