Job Description :

Information Assurance/Cybersecurity
As a Mid-Tier Information Assurance/Cybersecurity (Level III) you will support the Development, deployment and maintenance of enterprise-wide computing and information security requirements, policies, standards, guidelines and procedures for a stakeholder organization or program/sub program.

Develops and/or advises on a broad range of compliant information security and data protection requirements.

Determines acceptability of unique configurations and verifies security parameter placement.

Investigates and resolves security incidents.

Participates in security policy assessments and audits.

Manages regulatory compliance regarding cyber security.

Responsibilities:
This is an Information Assurance Cybersecurity role. Your duties include (but are not limited to):
• Create, implement and maintain procedural documentation for initial installation of high security Windows and Linux environments
• Create, deploy, and support periodic update packages for enterprise-level Windows environments
• Install and test periodic update packages from external vendors, providing feedback to improve processes
• Configure and support internal test lab environments identical to operational sites
• Review information system security requirements, determine applicability, and develop mitigation st***gies
• Test and evaluate system capabilities and perform vulnerability/risk assessments
• Perform ongoing security compliance monitoring and assist with internal and external assessments/audits
• Support and respond to incidents for security or functionality impacts to testing and operational environments
• Perform root cause analysis providing technical solutions which contribute to corrective action planning
• Implement and maintain internal procedures for creating and shipping media

You drive software cybersecurity, design and approach through:
• Development, selection, tailoring and deployment of cybersecurity processes, tools and metrics
• Execution and documentation of cybersecurity research, development projects and trade studies

Your accuracy and accountability is essential. Your expectations include:
• Evaluating security requirements and providing detailed mitigation documentation
• Providing sound technical solutions for a diverse range of challenges
• Implementing program and industry standards for software cybersecurity processes
• Working under general direction but collaborating with team members, other local development teams, remote field representatives, and external contractors

Required Skill Set :
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Windows and Linux scripting, SQL, and Microsoft Active Directory / Group Policy
• Experience in all aspects of designing and implementing cybersecurity processes and procedures including development, documentation, STIG evaluation and cyber scanning efforts

Desired Skills Set :
• Knowledge of Ada and FORTRAN
• Experience with software design and development tools such as SlickEdit or Subversion

Education Qualification :
Degree and typical experience in software cybersecurity classification: Bachelor's Degree, with 5 or more years' experience, Master's Degree with 3 or more years' experience or PHD Degree with experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor, Master or Docto*** of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
