JOB SUMMARYThe Group Sales Manager is responsible for generating business to meet/exceed sales goals for Villas. We are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those plans to upper management. As a Sales Manager, you will solicit, negotiate and book new/repeat business within various markets i.e incentive, meetings, conventions, via outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, networking, etc. Requirements of the position include: a thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of the hospitality sales professions; knowledge of NDM Hospitality products and services; effective communication skills, and the ability to negotiate, influence, and sell.QUALIFICATION STANDARDSCollege Degree or equivalent experience.Present sales, revenue and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the management teamAchieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales teamDesign and implement a strategic business plan that expands company's customer base and ensure it's strong presenceMust have 2- 3 years' experience in hospitality management resort salesProvide timely responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and acknowledge receipt of client correspondence expeditiously (within 4 hours from receipt). Maintain up-to-date contact and account information in sales system and in group module of PMSMust be a self-starting team player that contributes positive energy.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team oriented environment.Excellent ability to conduct group presentations, written and oral.Detail minded and strong organization skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and reprioritize when necessary.Strong business planning, account planning and budge management skills.Demonstrated ability to be creative to develop strategies that will drive revenueComputer proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Meet or exceed set goals.Initiate and follow up on leads.Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program.Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned by the Director of Sales.Assist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner.Meet and greet onsite contacts and groupsDevelop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations, activities and events.Handle inquiries Ability to travel Proactive personality and work styleJob DutiesCheck Availability for new requests via Opera CloudCreate Proposal's for all potential leadsMeet and greet onsite clientPrepare contractsAssist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner.Initiate and follow up on leadsLog all activities in DelphiAttend all weekly cottage meetings, including daily pre shift meeting, and weekly operational meeting, revenue weekly call.Conduct all site tours and communicate with the cottage & hotel teamFollow up with all group after departure, with a Thank you letter.Achieve all activities goals, including outside call and site tours.Partner with group/catering department to identify potential room block leadsAchieve monthly and Quarterly revenue goals set forth Physical requirements Flexible and long hours sometimes required including working weekends, holidays &hours exceeding 40+Ability to walk long distance is required. Fundamental RequirementsPro-actively solicit accounts within assigned market.Position responsible for the development and performance of sales activities in the SMERF (Social, Military, Education, Religion, Fraternal) MarketAt least two years of hotel experience in SMERF market preferredAble to travel & attend parties, trade shows, sales meetings and business meetings.Develop and execute Sales Action plansAssist Director of Sales with projects and or assigned accounts to maximize revenuesPrepare proposals and contractsSolicit, negotiate and book new & repeated groups, by using social media, outside calls and telemarketing.Define company brand through eventsEnsure staff is adequately prepared and informed for event.Experience with Military voucher programs, family reunions, religious and sports group sales.Pay vendors for their participation in the event. Provide receipts if needed.Ability to travel and work weekends and evenings as needed.Must be a self-starter and have the ability to self-teachMust have the ability to work cohesively with Sales team and communicate new processes and keep everyone informed and updated Bilingual A plus
