Job Description:

Golf Retail Attendant focuses on assisting golfers with check-in for tee time, club rentals, retail presentation and sales, and opening/closing procedures of golf retail operations

Responsibilities:
  • Professionally communicate information, sell merchandise and become fully knowledgeable in all products and sales techniques. Anticipate the needs of the members and guests and offer appropriate merchandise alternatives
  • Assist in completing monthly merchandise inventories
  • Tend to daily presentation of Golf Shop displays, cleanliness, overall merchandise presentation, and product storage areas.
  • Ensure all members and guests are greeted and welcomed in a professional and courteous manner
  • Answer questions and provide assistance and/or information to guests
  • Answer telephones to schedule future starting reservations and communicate information in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Accurately operate point of sale system, verify the accuracy of prices, verify state and federal taxes and other changes on all sales tickets. Collect green fees, cart fees and club rental fees.
  • Ensure that the displays are kept at par stock inventory levels at all times and that the appearance of the displays meets or exceed Omni Amelia Island Resort standards.
  • Maintain golf shop revenue generate through golf shop sales
  • Maintain a high profile with membership and guests; positively promote the service and philosophy of the Omni Amelia Island Resort.
  • Opening & Closing duties of Retail Pro Shop

    PRINCIPAL EQUIPMENT:
  • Computer
  • Telephone
  • Golf Cart must possess valid drivers license
  • Resort Suite (POS and tee time reservation system)
  • Radio with headset
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of retail experience preferred
  • Exceptional guest services skills
  • Outgoing and engaging personality
  • High level of organizational drive and skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be able to work 8-10 hour work day
  • May be subject to standing on feet for several hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. (golf bag, range bucket)
  • Self-motivated and team attitude oriented
  • Some amount of golf knowledge preferred
