Process bi-weekly, multi-state payroll using the Workday platform with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing

Biweekly payroll processing –

  • Receive all one-time employee pay data changes and review for completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness.
  • Perform data-entry of all one-time employee pay data changes in accordance with payroll processing deadlines.
  • Perform all steps to successfully transmit and settle the bi-weekly payroll. Review payroll file for accuracy
  • Run post payroll reports and reconciliations between Workday and ADP and set up for next processing.

Process all changes in payroll system –

  • Review Manager Self Service events for completeness, accuracy and verify approvals. Perform final approval of transactions and follow-up processes required to maintain accurate employee master file data.
  • Maintain benefit deduction information for fitness center memberships, Liberty Mutual, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.

Online Time & Absence Maintenance –

  • Audit online time & absence for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with company pay policies and follow up with the departments as needed.
  • Support colleagues and managers with timecard and absence corrections as needed
  • Manage severance spreadsheet. Reconcile each pay period and communicate with accounting as needed.
  • Provide supporting documents to accounting for month end reconciliation.
  • Enter or review On Demand payments for involuntary terminations, missed wages and as requested.
  • Provide assistance and support to colleagues, managers and HR by monitoring the Payroll Inbox, Teams and Workday ticketing.

Qualifications – what you need to perform the job

  • 5 years payroll experience with Workday experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, spreadsheets, vlookups)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with internal parties across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to build connections and work with different departments to resolve issues
  • Organized, logical and methodical
