Merchandising Planner Private Label

The Merchandising Planner is primarily responsible for leading assigned category to optimize sales and margin goals by defining and establishing pricing, category product planning and execution, inventory management and executing market strategies for new products.
Job Description
- Responsible for attainment of sales and margin goals, reducing RMA rate and returns. Analyze category sales data and provides category sales forecasts
- Review inventory reports and overseeing inventory ratio, cold items and properly balanced inventories
- Review vendor agreements and collaborate with legal team for final approval
- Coordinate sales data to come up promotion plans
- Initiate and nurture professional vendor relationships
- Keep abreast of market trends and identify new product opportunities that reflect customer demands, needs and opportunities

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing or merchandising or 5+ years relevant experience
- 3+ years of merchandising experience in an IT e-commerce environment, with experience dealing with major brand vendors
- 3+ year of experience managing vendor P L including MDF and Co-op accounts and utilization
- Extensive knowledge of various e-commerce marketing opportunities as well traditional media
- Able to compose and communicate analysis on internal and external trend changes
- Understanding of Marketing Principles and Retailing
- Ability to build relationships and maintain strong partnerships
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Detail and result oriented with sense of urgency
- Excellent analytical, organizational and coordination skills
- Team-oriented and able to work in cross-functional environment
Essential Mental & Physical Function
Mental Functions
- Decisions may affect a work unit or area within a department. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department. This position performs a variety of routine duties within established policies and procedures or by referral to supervisor's guidelines.
Physical Functions
- Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant keyboarding and telephone usage.
Equipment Used
- Standard office and computer equipment including MSOffice software, computer and telephone.
Pay Transparency
This job posting may span more than one job level.
The base salary range for this position in City of Industry is $25 - $31 per hour.
In addition to base salary, this job is eligible additional bonus or incentive. Additionally, Newegg offers a wide range of benefits to U.S.-based employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) program with employer match, and generous time off for vacation and sick.
