What You Will Do:
  • Serve as a Staff Action Officer to support Administrative and Information Technology requirements of the Governance Directorate
  • Proactively develop, manage, and organize a variety of correspondence and communication documents for internal leadership and external stakeholders, (i.e., Executive Summaries, Meeting Minutes, Action Memos, Information Papers and Briefing Decks) as appropriate
  • Proactively develop, organize, and track milestones to support Governance and Council meeting requirements
  • Works closely with and serves as an interlocutor to external stakeholders on departmental requirements and interagency engagements
  • Ensure the Executive and community stakeholders are provided read-ahead material(s), and other relevant documents to assist with meeting departmental engagements and rigid timelines
  • Provide advice, leadership and guidance to ensure appropriate determination of eligibility and processing of informal resolution
  • Guide the hearing, adjudication, complex or integrated teams to ensure all major requirements are met and relevant documents for appellant and hearing officer are captured accurately and according to Federal law and client requirements
  • Provide self-directed legal support to the project leadership
  • Provide direction, leadership, and training to production personnel on case management and case processing
  • Process and resolve high profile and complex appeals
  • Analyze projects, present data collection reporting and analysis management to client
  • Provide legal research and assistance for CMS/MAG on ACA regulations and appeal adjudications
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
  • A Bachelor's degree is required for this position. 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. An Associate's degree and 2 years of relevant work experience may also be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
  • 8+ years’ of work experience
Minimum Requirements Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Internal Job Profile Code: TCS225, P3, Band 6 Desired Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience using Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook Calendar
  • Strong understanding of Information Technology capabilities and the ability to discern complex topics and distill into lay concepts
  • Ability to operate Audio & Video Technology equipment to support briefing forums
  • 5+ years' experience using the DoD Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) and/or Joint Staff Action Process (JSAP)
  • 5+ years' experience in support of special access program (SAP) Information Technology Concepts and Applications
  • Strong writing and communication skills to support Governance and Council forums.
  • Possess problem-solving skills in a DoD environment
  • Possess interpersonal skills and experience supporting decision-makers at the
  • DoD senior leadership, Service or Joint Staff level(s)

Annual Base Pay Minimum for this Position $ 77,600.00 Annual Base Pay Maximum for this Position $ 90,245.00
