Using artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide real-time situational awareness and non-destructive countermeasures, Titan protects personnel, property, and sensitive infrastructure. Titan continues to evolve with the operator in mind and is globally deployed supporting diverse environments and missions, empowering operator decision-making with best-in-class technology and ease of operation.

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to serve as an integral part of our Engineering Team. Candidates for this role will perform research, development, integration, and testing of technologies underlying our RF-based Counter-UAS platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong electronic engineering background with demonstrated expertise in leading the development and fielding of complex, rugged systems for use in a military environment. This role will contribute significantly to ongoing R&D and continuous performance improvement of our CUAS effectors, with active involvement in all aspects of product engineering and a direct impact on real-world efficacy of critical safety systems.

The candidate should have a strong background in market-deployed Technology Readiness Level 9 (TRL) devices, with the ability to successfully manage activities spanning the lifecycle from requirements definition and component selection to testing and delivery. A customer-first approach is vital, directly supporting ongoing both field and leadership feedback to reflect emergent needs and product evolution goals. The candidate will work closely with and act as a thought leader for the other Titan engineering teams (Software, AI/ML, QA, Mechanical, & Design) to ensure a deep understanding of system requirements and enable productive, agile decision-making as the cornerstone of Titan culture.

This role’s responsibilities include component and module-level PCB evaluation and design, R&D activities, mentoring of junior engineering staff, development of requirements and test plans, data measurement and collection, and in-field T&E activity. • Engage cross-team SMEs at all stages of product development
  • Ensure compliance with operational requirements for performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Translate complex technical challenges into actionable strategies and system architectures
  • Review, develop, and document system-level operational concepts, design, and test plans
  • Update peers and leadership on progress and technical challenges
  • Remain abreast of emergent industry developments and customer-driven demand signal
  • Setup and operation of test equipment to include VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes etc.
  • Provide technical leadership for junior staff and peers
  • Develop solutions that meet performance requirements within budgetary constraints

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • The ideal candidate will have a Secret level security clearance. If you do not have one, you must be open and willing to get a security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE)
  • 5+ years of direct system engineering experience, or 3+ years with a master’s degree/MEng.
  • Design experience with military electronics, SOSA/MOSA knowledge a plus
  • Implementation and compliance with applicable MIL-STDs for reliability
  • Experience with MATLAB, LTspice, Eagle, Simulink, LabVIEW (or equivalents)
  • Hands-on PCB development experience
  • Strong technical writing and communications

Location/Schedule:

  • BlueHalo San Diego facility
  • Onsite schedule / regular business hours; note that this is NOT a hybrid or remote opportunity
