Our client, a Medical Device company, is seeking a Principal Research Specialist, Clinical Insights to join their team.

As a Principal Research Specialist, Clinical Insights, you will be part of the Urology Clinical Sciences organization, supporting the Urology Clinical Insights team. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.

Job Title: Principal Research Specialist
Location: Minnetonka, MN
Pay Range: 55/hour
(12-month contract with possible conversion to FTE)

What's the Job?

  • Develop and execute clinical research activities using real-world data sources.
  • Design studies using administrative claims, electronic health records (EHR), and other data sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Clinical Strategy, Medical Affairs, etc.) to ensure research effectiveness.
  • Manage project materials and timelines.
  • Contribute to post-market documentation, publications, and other scientific writing.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree (with 9+ years' experience) or advanced degree (with 7+ years' experience) in a relevant field (data science, health economics, etc.).
  • Expertise in medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, etc.) and medical terminologies (SNOMED, LOINC, etc.) for research applications.
  • Strong experience with data analysis tools (Python, R, etc.) and relational databases (SQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
