Job Summary and Qualifications

Radiology Technologist

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist whowill take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment. You willperform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Tech may include:

  • You will possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
  • You will obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
  • You will select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated
  • You will prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
  • You will document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
  • You will maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
  • You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications:

  • 2 year or Associated Degree (Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology)
  • ARRT Certification
  • Florida license to practice medical imaging
  • 1 year hospital based experience preferred
  • Current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
