Responsibilities
- Responsible for utilizing and electroencephalograph to record electrical impulses from the brain
- Apply electrodes to predetermined positions on patient’s scalp
- Take and verify recordings
- Operate, maintain, calibrate and adjust specialized equipment
- Monitor, transcribe physician order and perform other support duties to include but not limited to paging physicians
- Obtain insurance pre-certification
- Arrange for home and medical care and coordinate desk activities
- Adhere to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- One to three (1-3) year of previous EEG experience
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited electroeurodiagnostic technology program, with some college level course work
- Eligible for or currently registered by ABRET
- Registered EEG Tech
- One (1) year experience in specialty
