Electroencephalography (EEG) Technician RoleAt Lovelace Medical Center, we're committed to providing comprehensive care to our patients. As an EEG Technician, you'll play a vital role in our team by recording electrical impulses from the brain using an electroencephalograph.
Responsibilities:
* Apply electrodes to predetermined positions on patients' scalps
* Take and verify recordings
* Operate, maintain, calibrate, and adjust specialized equipment
* Monitor, transcribe physician orders, and perform other support duties
* Obtain insurance pre-certification
* Arrange for home and medical care, and coordinate desk activities
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* One to three years of previous EEG experience
* Preferred: Graduate of an accredited electroeurodiagnostic technology program, with some college-level coursework
* Eligible for or currently registered by ABRET
* Registered EEG Tech
* One year of experience in the specialty
