Chemo RN5/8s Days3YRS experience with background in autonomous practicePerioperative Dept. that manages small chemotherapy/Infusion caseloadCommon chemotherapeutics/Iron infusions/GI infusions. Avg 2-4 per week.Infusions last 4-6 hours and nurse does own scheduling with patients.Between infusions or slower days RN is asked to assist PACU and perform department paperwork as needed.Some patients are admitted to med-surg floor to continue infusions overnight.Certs: BLS/ACLSChemo Cert: ONS//ONCC (Chemo immunotherapy cert)Prior Experience: Oncology OutpatientPrior Experience for PACU: PACU, med/surg, Interventional radiology, icu, itcu,Chemo: Background in administering chemo, infusion.Experience: IV placement proficiency, access to PICC, Ports, and Central LineThe position is a solo RN working with oncologistHome chemo infusion experience is a plus as they will work independently with off-site provider and call in to that provider and pharmacy upstairs
