Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our team at the Phillipsburg facility. As the DON, you will oversee all nursing operations, ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in healthcare management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee patient care plans and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth
- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for nursing services
- Handle any escalated issues or emergencies related to patient care
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey, with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
- Proven experience in a nursing leadership role, ideally as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
