Summary of Primary Function/Scope: The Pre-boarding Specialist is responsible for verifying the qualifications, education, experience, and professional licenses of healthcare providers, contractors, and other professionals. This role ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies, while delivering a highly attentive, premium, and personalized pre-boarding experience for new employees.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Compile and maintain current and accurate documents for pre-boarding therapists 
  • Maintain knowledge of state and agency requirements to ensure we are meeting all regulatory requirements to hire.
  • Order new hire supplies, tablets, bags, badges etc.
  • Upload and download necessary therapist credentials into multiple platforms as needed: Hub, SharePoint, Paylocity.
  • Proactive and positive feedback throughout the entire preboarding process for every new therapist.
  • Adhere to strict regulations and guidelines to protect patient and therapist data and ensure that confidential information is handled appropriately.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Pre-boarding and Credentialing.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of preboarding experience preferred. 
  • Prior health care, and home health experience is a plus.

  • Demonstrates superior customer service 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the pre-boarding process 
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities 
  • High level attention to detail and accurate record keeping and documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken forms.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to work effectively with clinicians and communicate in a responsive and positive manner.
  • A demonstrated record of strong interpersonal skills and goal achievement 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
