Senior P&C Reserving Role

Senior P&C reserving role with Allianz Commercial's Actuarial Reserving team in Chicago. You will estimate IFRS 17 reserves, support monthly and quarterly close activities, develop forward-looking loss ratio views, and present findings to senior stakeholders, including C-suite leaders. The hybrid role requires ACAS and at least eight years of P&C experience.

Requirements

Must have:

  • Minimum 8 years business experience in the P&C industry
  • ACAS designation

Strongly preferred:

  • Focus in reserving
  • Job-specific knowledge of market dynamics, standards, regulations, reporting (reinsurance, underwriting, reserving techniques, data flows)
  • Finance and insurance know-how (ideally P&C)
  • Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex data
  • Basic balance sheet understanding on IFRS 4 and IFRS 17 bases
  • High level of analytical ability, capable of clearly communicating results

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency in R/Alteryx/Tableau/Python
  • Experience in applying AI and ML to improve business processes
