Houston, TX, United States ATICO ATX Full-time

Company Overview

ATÍCO partners with early-stage cybersecurity, AI, and infrastructure companies, as well as venture capital firms, to design and execute effective enterprise go-to-market strategies. We primarily support companies from angel-backed stages through Series B as they validate product-market fit, develop early revenue, and build repeatable paths to growth.

Led by experienced sales, marketing, and customer success executives, ATÍCO works hands-on with founders to refine positioning, identify target markets, engage enterprise buyers, and advance qualified opportunities. Our services include enterprise selling, staff augmentation, market evaluations, design-partner programs, customer advisory boards, events, marketing, recruiting, and cybersecurity advisory services.

Through our network of enterprise practitioners, advisors, CISOs, CIOs, and other technology leaders, we provide founders with direct market feedback and trusted access to potential buyers. Our Gravity Selling approach creates momentum by aligning each client’s platform with the right market segments, business problems, and decision-makers.

At ATÍCO, you will gain direct exposure to startup CEOs, technical founders, enterprise executives, and emerging technologies long before they become mainstream.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to generate qualified pipeline and support go-to-market execution across ATÍCO’s portfolio.

Your primary responsibility will be building relationships and scheduling qualified discovery meetings with enterprise security and IT leaders. You will conduct thoughtful account research, identify relevant prospects, and engage them through phone, email, LinkedIn, events, referrals, and other channels.

You will represent ATÍCO rather than a single product, while developing a strong working knowledge of our portfolio companies, their value propositions, and their target markets. Your role is to understand what enterprise leaders are working on, identify where emerging technology may be relevant, and create the right conversations between buyers and founders.

This is not a transactional appointment-setting position. You will own the meeting through the initial discovery call, including research, qualification, internal preparation, participation, CRM documentation, and follow-up.

You will report directly to ATÍCO’s Innovation Director and receive hands-on coaching in enterprise prospecting, cybersecurity, emerging technology, executive engagement, and opportunity development.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and build relationships with CISOs, CIOs, VPs, Directors, and other enterprise security and IT leaders
  • Identify and research target accounts, decision-makers, business initiatives, and potential technology needs
  • Generate qualified meetings through phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, event outreach, and follow-up
  • Represent ATÍCO in the market while developing working knowledge of its portfolio companies
  • Learn client offerings, value propositions, competitive positioning, and target customer segments
  • Qualify prospects based on their responsibilities, priorities, business needs, current initiatives, and potential timing
  • Schedule and participate in discovery meetings with enterprise prospects, ATÍCO leadership, and portfolio companies
  • Prepare internal teams with relevant account research, relationship history, pain points, and meeting context
  • Own follow-up and CRM documentation through the initial discovery call and subsequent handoff
  • Drive qualified attendance for ATÍCO executive dinners, private briefings, conferences, and other events
  • Convert relevant event conversations into discovery meetings and qualified opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records of contacts, activities, meetings, notes, and outcomes in HubSpot
  • Collaborate with ATÍCO leadership, client directors, and portfolio companies to support campaigns and client initiatives
  • Share prospect feedback, objections, competitive insights, and market trends with internal and client teams
  • Help refine messaging, outbound campaigns, and field tactics based on market response
  • Translate ATÍCO’s Gravity Selling strategies into consistent and repeatable prospecting activity
  • Consistently achieve a monthly qualified-meeting target

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, lead generation, or another customer-facing role
  • Strong outbound prospecting and pipeline-generation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence engaging senior executives by phone, email, LinkedIn, and in person
  • Strong research, organization, time-management, and
