Overview:
The Nurse Residency Program and Student Coordinator is responsible for the Nurse Residency Program and the facilitation of student placement and clinical experiences at Conway Regional Health System (CRHS). The Nurse Residency Program and Student Coordinator provides expertise and guidance for the new graduate nurse’s transition to practice at the bedside. This individual serves as a liaison between CRHS and academic institutions, provides support to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care, and is committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration.

 

 

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:

 

This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of

Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to

Patients/customers who Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and

supporting the delivery health care related services

Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, required

Master’s degree, preferred, current enrollment in an accredited Master’s program or enrollment in an accredited Master’s program within 2 years of hire

Current unencumbered Arkansas nursing license, required

Minimum four years of experience in acute care nursing practice, required

Previous experience as a unit educator, system educator, other area of nursing education, or nursing leadership, required

ANCC certification in a related field, required; if not certified at the time of hire, must acquire within two years of hire

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Other education and experience may be substituted (if applicable) for the required minimum job qualifications with the approval of the Corporate Director of Human Resources.
