The Grain Merchandiser is key in the agricultural commodities market, handling sourcing, trading, & managing grain movements. Requirements

Responsibilities:

Conduct market analysis & utilize data for informed, optimal grain trading decisions

Collaborate with suppliers for competitive grain sourcing & monitor the competitiveness of cash grain bids

Update grain bids on various platforms & provide reports

Develop risk management strategies for financial stability

Manage inventory, procure grain supplies, & coordinate supply chain operations

Build & maintain customer relationships & manage customer database

Stay updated on industry regulations & compliance

Initiate contracts, hedge purchases, & maintain records; ensure compliance

Maximize customer profitability & optimize resource use

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in agricultural economics, business, finance, marketing, or related field

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data & trends

3-5 years of trading experience preferred

Proficient in using trading platforms, market analysis tools, & software

Knowledgeable in fundamental & technical market drivers, options strategies, & persuasive business communication

Sales & customer relations background, ability to build strong customer relationships, & manage a sales territory

Excellent organizational, time management, communication, & negotiation skills

Proven success in managing long-term customer relationships
