Music Publishing Administrator

As a Music Publishing Administrator, you will work closely with our artists, composers, and music producers to ensure that their songs are properly registered, licensed, and copyrighted. You will also handle the negotiation and administration of publishing agreements, ensuring that all royalties and publishing rights are accurately accounted for and distributed. Additionally, you will be responsible for staying up-to-date with current industry trends and developments, and implementing best practices to maximize revenue and protect our artists' intellectual property.
Responsibilities
Manage the entire music publishing process, from registering songs and filing copyright applications to negotiating and administering publishing agreements.
Ensure accurate and timely licensing of our artists' songs for use in films, TV shows, commercials, and other media projects.
Develop and maintain relationships with music publishers, licensing agencies, and other industry stakeholders.
Monitor and analyze royalty reports and statements, ensuring that all royalties and publishing rights are correctly accounted for and distributed.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and implement best practices to maximize revenue and protect our artists' intellectual property.
Provide support and guidance to our artists and composers regarding publishing rights, copyright issues, and royalties.
Collaborate with our legal team to resolve any copyright disputes or infringement issues.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in music business, copyright law, or a related field.
Proven experience in music publishing administration or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of copyright law, licensing requirements, and music publishing industry standards.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in music publishing software and royalty tracking systems.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
