Description:
The Clinic Operations Workflow Analyst I focuses on providing hands-on operational support and communications to clinics for: system-wide changes and improvements, workflow and patient flow optimizations, and coordination of special projects as assigned. Will also be highly involved in the implementation needs of opening new/renovated clinical sites from an operations perspective.

Key to the role is the development of relationships with clinical and operational managers of departmental and divisional teams to understand and meet the critical needs of the clinic through a team-based approach.

 

Builds and sustains relationships with assigned clinics.

Will organize and facilitate regular meetings with each site.

Expected to provide hands-on support to clinics as necessary.

Using Lean tools and methodologies, will support process improvement projects, address clinical workflow concerns and identify opportunities for improvement.

Will share in-depth knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures used in the ambulatory setting and will support the maintenance of implemented standards and changes.

Develops Standard Operating Procedures in conjunction with appropriate departments and divisions, applying consistent standards across all clinics as appropriate.

Maintains and updates Standard Operating Procedures as necessary.

Expected to effectively communicate with clinics as necessary to ensure that policies and procedures are understood and implemented, large initiatives that are rolled-out have the support they need, and updates to Electronic Health Record and other software systems have minimal impact on the clinical workflow.

Conducts workflow and patient flow analysis within the clinical setting.

Using a structured methodology, will assess clinical workflow, collect data, analyze data, create reports and recommendations, and assist in the implementation of any new resulting workflows.

Will also be responsible for conducting time studies and other analysis as appropriate.

Will develop an in-depth knowledge of safety and accreditation guidelines and procedures.

Expected to promote a positive culture and exhibit a commitment to improvement, innovation, team-building and zero harm.

Be able to identify top safety concerns when on site in clinics and actively work with clinics and the safety team to remove obstacles and resolve issues in a timely fashion.

Supports the implementations of new clinical office space, the reorganization of existing spaces to accommodate new workflows, and the introduction of new software systems.

Capable of taking a project coordination role to insure that implementations are handled smoothly. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in health services, industrial engineering, or other related field required.

Project coordination experience, clinical experience, and Lean certification preferred.

Minimum of two years related experience in clinical care, healthcare operations, process/quality improvement, or clinical workflow/patient flow analysis.

Experience working with Electronic Health Record systems; and knowledge of quality reporting methods is highly desired.
