Overview:
Responsible for locating and maintaining the best sources of supply for the components, materials and services required across Morgan Thermal Ceramics - EMEA. Considering all aspects of relationships with suppliers, including quality, value and the ability to respond quickly to changing supply requirements. Select suppliers that can act as long-term partners and help the company meet its growth objectives, and delivering the expected cost reduction of the year.

 

Responsibilities:
Procurement

Ensure materials, products and services are delivered on time to support all locations.

The procurement of materials & components as required by use of the ERP system

Negotiation and development of contracts within the purchasing team

Supplier performance management

Develop & strengthen relationships with suppliers and internal departments

Actively participate with Sales and Project and be accountable for purchasing deliveries Person Specification of the Senior Buyer

Financial Results

Build & maintain relationships with key suppliers including contract management and payment terms, to ensure improvements in cost quality and delivery,

 Business Development

Act as the procurement lead for new business development with respect to sourcing and negotiating terms for bought-in products and services.

Coordinate the procurement of all plants and equipment with all stakeholders to maximise cost avoidance and negotiate best value for Thermal Ceramics – EMEA.

 

Qualifications:
Experience in indirect/MRO category management

Strong negotiation skills.

The ability to communicate articulately and effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing.

Strong numerical skills.

Experience of operating MRP/ERP systems.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programmes.

The ability to work to tight deadlines.

Persuasive

Self-motivated and energetic.

Positive attitude.
