Outreach Representative

Resource Innovations is seeking an Outreach Representative to join our growing team in Evansville, IN. As an Outreach Representative with Resource Innovations, you will be a key contact to contractors, distributors, manufacturers, vendors, service providers, etc., focused on building and strengthening relationships and maximizing participation in utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs.

One part relationship-builder and one part problem-solver, as an Outreach Representative you will be a key contact, working to build relationships and maximize participation in utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. While this role is similar to a technical sales position, it essentially involves promoting a utility-sponsored rebate program to help reduce the cost of energy efficient equipment for area businesses. Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducts outreach, educates and assists contractors (such as Lighting, HVAC, etc.) so they may effectively participate in and promote CenterPoint Energy’s Commercial & Industrial Incentives Program.

Develops, manages and strengthens relationships with contractors.

Develops and executes outreach strategies to recruit new contractors and retain current contractors.

Delivers sales and program training presentations to provide contractors with an understanding of the value of incentive programs.

Helps contractors identify qualifying projects and associated incentives.

Supports contractors application completion, submission, and follow up.

Answers program inquiries

Trains and supports contractors to use new software programs.

Support Program Managers in project development, tracking and analysis, and management of efficiency projects.

Edit and format program documents and reports for grammar, typographical errors, and professional presentation.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Associate degree or 5 years industry experience

2+ years of experience in a related field such as professional sales, account management, marketing, business management, customer service or project management

Have a valid U.S. driver’s license and a personal vehicle to visit contractor and customer sites

Must be able to travel locally, primarily in southern Indiana.

Able to work out of your home during the times you are not out in the field working with contractors and customers.

A background in construction, HVAC, mechanical, building controls, utility Demand Side Management (DSM), energy efficiency design, or other building-related experience is preferred.

Able to self-manage in a professional environment and take the initiative to get stuff done or try something new

Humbly confident with an uncanny ability to quickly build trusting relationships, sell concepts at all levels of an organization, and manage multiple time-dependent tasks simultaneously

Strong proficiency in developing and delivering formal presentations.
