GME Accreditation Specialist

Job Details:
The GME Accreditation Specialist provides administrative oversight under the direction of the Designated Institution Official (DIO) for all accreditation activities and efforts that fall under the Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME).

 

Responsibilities:

Provides supervision of operations, development and execution of strategic initiatives related to accreditation.

Assures regulatory compliance with governing bodies such as the Accreditation Council.

 Reports to the Designated Institution Official (DIO) in GME and manages departmental activities to meet residency/fellowship program accreditation needs and objectives in accordance with operating policies and accreditation requirements

Acts in communication between institutions and the DIO in coordinating contracting is completed to allow for timely rotational experiences for Catholic Health trainees as well as those trainees rotating to any Catholic Health site from outside academic centers/programs

Works closely with the DIO to effectively drive operations, develop new initiatives, address opportunities for improvement, and continue to grow GME within Catholic Health

Works with the DIO to develop a robust faculty development series supporting the ongoing educational needs of program directors and faculty.

Initiates, implements and supports development programs for administrative staff

Performs other duties as required

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field as well as a Master's level degree in education, administration, healthcare, or related field

At least 5-7 years of progressively advanced administrative management; with advanced knowledge of and experience in ACGME accreditation work

Deep knowledge of Graduate Medical Education and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education

Expert verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

Proficient with standard software used in GME settings (i.e. MS Office products, New Innovations, ACGME ADS) and ability to learn new software

Posted Salary Range:
USD $85,000.00 - USD $(phone number removed) /Yr.
