Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Marina Professional as part of our Marina Team in West Palm Beach, Florida.  The selected candidate will have the unique opportunity to grow professionally within a renowned team dedicated to marina and waterfront projects and to participate in innovative sustainable international coastal resort projects and urban waterfront developments, including climate adaptation and nature-based solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The position includes significant on-the-job training on specialized marina services.

The position includes supervised work in data research and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures; site assessments, engineering and environmental evaluations, planning and design; preparation of technical reports, presentations, plans, specifications, and proposals. 

Education and Licensure:
Bachelor's degree in Coastal, Ocean or Civil Engineering, or related environmental field. (required)

Ability to pursue professional registration/accreditation given requisite experience. (preferred) 

Advanced degree in Coastal or Ocean engineering or closely related field. (preferred)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years (7 years preferred) of consulting experience in coastal engineering or closely related field.

Proficiency in technical writing and oral communications in English.

Ability and desire to learn specialized marina consulting services to complement its technical background.

Experience with site assessments, planning, and design of waterfront or coastal structures.

Familiarity with project management; identifying critical issues on managed tasks requiring support and suggesting path forward to identified issues.

Analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work in various types of engineering and consulting assignments.

Strong computer skills. Experience with engineering software and AutoCAD/Civil 3D. (preferred)

Entrepreneurial attitude. (preferred)

Writing and reading in a second language. (preferred)

Ability to work in the U.S.
