Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Healthcare

Summary:The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in healthcare is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the organization. The CFO plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the healthcare facility while aligning financial strategies with the organization's mission and goals.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Strategy:

Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies to support the organization's short-term and long-term objectives.

Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to provide insights for decision-making.

Assess and manage financial risks, including revenue cycle management, cost containment, and budgeting.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations.

Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including executives, board members, investors, and regulatory agencies.

Oversee the audit process and coordinate with external auditors to maintain transparency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Revenue Cycle Management:

Develop strategies to optimize revenue generation, including billing, reimbursement, and collections processes.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle management and implement improvements to enhance financial performance.

Collaborate with revenue cycle management teams to identify and address revenue leakage and denial management issues.

Financial Operations:

Manage financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.

Implement efficient financial systems and processes to streamline operations and enhance productivity.

Evaluate and recommend investments, capital expenditures, and financing options to support business growth and expansion.

Strategic Leadership and Collaboration:

Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team, providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

Collaborate with other department heads to align financial strategies with operational goals and initiatives.

Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred.

Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive in the healthcare industry.

In-depth knowledge of healthcare finance, reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory requirements.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies that drive organizational growth and profitability.

Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.

Commitment to integrity, ethical conduct, and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
