Overview:
Quincy Medical Group (QMG) has an exciting opportunity for an Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities:
 

The Ophthalmic Assistant aids ophthalmologists in the diagnoses and treatment of eye disorders and diseases. Responsible for performing a variety of tests and measures to evaluate eye function. Providing valuable insights to your team of eye care professionals, with a goal to help people maintain and restore vision.

 

This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work location is in Hannibal, MO. 

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will display knowledge and experience to include: excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills when explaining procedures or results to patients; technically proficient in diagnostic tools; knowledgeable in eye anatomy, medical terminology, and EHRs. Reliable, compassionate, and maintains excellent work ethic.

 

High school diploma or GED required. One year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. OA certification preferred. CPR certification is required; available upon hire.
